Finance and Business Associate

Sep 4, 2024

Are you a finance professional with a knack for managing accounts payable and creditor-related tasks? Would you like to become part of a Finance & Legal team where commitment, good spirits, and helpfulness go hand in hand with a busy workday? If so, you might be the Finance and Business Associate we’re looking for!

What will your day look like?

As a Finance and Business Associate, you’ll take ownership of all our accounts payable and creditor-related tasks, and your day will be filled with problem-solving and team collaboration. You will also maintain a close relationship with various departments for invoice approvals, acting as their go-to person for any challenges that need solving. We have an informal and flat structure with a focus on continuous training and sparring, so there are plenty of opportunities to develop yourself and your skills. If you have the courage, you can eventually take on additional responsibilities and projects. Of course, we'll make sure you get all the help and support you need.

More specifically, your tasks include:

  • Managing incoming invoices and queries, setting up new vendors, and ensuring proper documentation.
  • Optimizing and automating bookkeeping processes in our tracking tool (Workbook).
  • Ensuring SOX compliance and maintaining internal controls.
  • Taking ownership of our shared Finance mailbox.
  • Staying updated on changes in accounting laws and regulations.
  • Assisting with expense management as needed.
  • Supporting time production and related tasks.
  • Identifying areas for improvement in current processes and implementing new ways to increase our efficiency.

Who are you going to work with?

As part of the Finance & Legal department, you will have 16 talented colleagues who are passionate about what they do. Internally, you will report to the Finance Manager and collaborate closely with other members of the finance team. Externally, you will interact regularly with various departments for invoice approvals and queries, and coordinate with external vendors and suppliers.

What do you bring to the table?

As a person, you are characterized by your positive energy, approachability and service-oriented mindset. You are flexible and well-organized, with a talent for maintaining a clear overview of your daily tasks, ensuring proper prioritization and meeting deadlines. Additionally, you are a strong communicator, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

In addition, you have:

  • Relevant education in finance, accounting, or related field.
  • A few years of experience in a similar role as a minimum.
  • A strong understanding of Danish VAT rules and creditor invoicing.
  • Tech-Savviness with ease in learning and navigating various IT-systems.
  • Experience with financial systems (Workbook experience is a plus).
  • Strong skills in the Microsoft Office suite – especially Excel.

If you believe you have the skills and experience to succeed in this role, we would love to hear from you!
